Remote-controlled Turkey-Bat Hybrid

This was a very large project. I sketched and illustrated concepts for this class to create a remote-controlled creature. I had a passion for realism and creating realistic hybrids of animals using their anatomies. After deciding on the concept, I sculpted a maquette before sculpting a full-scale creature. I then molded and casted it in foam latex, fabricated a fiberglass skull, fabricated mounting and pivot points within the skull to then mount servos for mechanizing it. This was then airbrushed and animated---it blinks, moves its mouth, and flares its nostrils.
